Rule 132
Maternity leave
: (1) If the wife of a male armed police officer gives birth, such armed police officer shall be entitled to fifteen days of maternity leave before or after the delivery.
(2) Maternity care leave can be taken only twice during the service period.
(3) Armed police personnel on maternity leave will get full salary allowance and ration.
(4) Armed police personnel who have taken maternity leave must submit the child's birth certificate to the office within three months from the date of taking leave.
(5) Armed Police personnel who do not submit such certificate within the period as per sub-rule (4) shall be deducted from the other leave they are entitled to.
(6) The record of maternity care leave should be kept up to date by the concerned office.
(7) Armed police personnel who have received maternity leave and maternity care leave will be given a child care allowance of five thousand rupees per child for a maximum of two children.
